Washington's men's and women's rowing teams are back in action this Sunday, Nov. 5, for the annual Head of the Lake Regatta, which gets underway at 8:00 a.m. PT.
 
The annual event, co-hosted by the UW and Lake Washington Rowing Club, features a three-mile course, which starts in Lake Union, northeast of Gasworks Park, crosses Portage Bay, runs through the Montlake Cut and finishes in Union Bay of Lake Washington, just east of Conibear Shellhouse. Washington crews will race in a number of events over the course of the day, which will include a total of 41 race categories for youth, clubs, college and masters crews.

The Head of the Lake, the premier fall rowing event in the Pacific Northwest, is the final event of the fall for both the Washington men's and women's teams.

WASHINGTON ROWING ALUMNI: Please join us Saturday, November 11, at the UW vs. Utah game, two hours before kickoff, in The Zone. The Zone is located behind the East end zone of Husky Stadium and features food and alcohol for purchase. Come join fellow alumni and current student-athletes and wear your letterman, class sweater, or Washington Rowing gear! This year, our tent will be playing "The Boys in the Boat" trailer, and will be located next to the public Boys in the Boat exhibit!

The UW vs. Utah game will be a campus-wide Boys in the Boat celebration.This game will highlight Washington Rowing, and the Boys in the Boat trailer will be played during the first quarter while the team is being honored on the field. There will be giveaways, announcements about the movie, and it will serve as our launch of the campaign to endow the program.
