Washington will send four crews to compete at the 2017 Intercollegiate Rowing Association championships June 2-4 in Gold River, Calif. Yesterday, the IRA announced the accepted entries for the regatta's 10 races.

The Huskies will compete in all four heavyweight events (there are also a total of six men's and women's lightweight competitions): the first, second and third varsity eights, and the varsity four. The IRA will not host a freshman eights race this season.

Last year, the Huskies won the freshman race, as well as the varsity four.

After three straight seasons in West Windsor, N.J., the IRA Regatta will be held at Lake Natoma near Sacramento this year. Last weekend at Lake Natoma, the Husky men claimed the Pac-12 championship, winning all four events in which they'll compete at IRAs .  The last time that the IRAs were held at Lake Natoma, the Huskies earned titles in the varsity eight, second varsity eight, freshman eight and varsity four.

At a later date, the IRA will release a schedule of races and progressions.
