The teams will square off against each other in first and second varsity eights and first and second varsity fours.

RACE SCHEDULE (revised at 9:00 p.m. on Tue., April 16)
8:00 a.m. – Second Varsity Four
8:20 a.m. – Varsity Eight
8:40 a.m. – Second Varsity Eight
9:00 a.m. – Varsity Four

"We scheduled this last year because Ohio State and Michigan are two of the strongest teams in the country," UW coach Yasmin Farooq said. "It's always good to race fast teams and Las Vegas is a great, neutral site where you can get to easily from just about anywhere. It's a great venue and hopefully it's a place that will draw a lot of friends and family."

HUSKIES vs. BUCKEYES & WOLVERINES
Last season, the Huskies rowed against Michigan (along with Texas) in a three-race regatta on Lake Las Vegas. Washington won all three races with Michigan second in the second varsity eight and third in both the varsity eight and varsity four.

Last year at the NCAA Championships in Sarasota, Fla., the Huskies finished second overall, winning the 2V race and finishing second in the V8 and the V4. Ohio State was sixth overall while Michigan finished seventh in the final points standings. The Buckeyes are three-time NCAA champions, having won the title three years in a row (2013-15). Michigan hasn't won an NCAA Rowing title, but has finished runner-up twice – to UW in 2001 and to Virginia in 2012.

UP NEXT
The Huskies will face another big challenge next week as No. 2 California comes to Seattle for the annual dual regatta against the UW, April 27, on Montlake Cut.

ABOUT WASHINGTON ROWING
Rowing at University of Washington was established in 1901 with support from the local business community. In 1903, Washington entered its first intercollegiate race and defeated California, starting their storied "Cal Dual" rivalry. From this beginning, UW crews became the champions in the nation, winning the Gold Medal in the Olympics in 1936 as described in the New York Times bestseller The Boys in the Boat. UW has continued its tradition of winning championships and Olympic medals, and today is one of the best university rowing programs in the world. With its state-of-the-art training facility located on the UW campus right on the shores of Lake Washington, surrounded by mountains and in close proximity to the iconic Montlake Cut, Washington Rowing attracts the best men and women student-athletes from the Pacific Northwest and around the world.
