Washington's women's rowing team will send a large contingent of rowers to the Head of the American this Saturday. The Head of the American is held on Lake Natoma, the annual home of the Pac-12 Championships, and frequent site of the men's and women's national championship regattas.

The Huskies will compete in two categories: the collegiate women's pairs and the collegiate women's eights.

The Head of the American features 51 race categories for men's and women's juniors, colleges and masters. Here's the schedule for the events in which the UW is entered:

11:17 a.m. PT – Women's Collegiate 2- (exact number UW entries to be determined)
2:10 p.m. PT – Women's Collegiate 8+ (three UW entries)

Last year, Washington had three of the top-five finishers in the women's pairs, in a race category that included 45 crews. In the collegiate eights last year, Washington placed second, third and sixth in a 26-boat field.

Next weekend, the UW men's and women's teams will be back in action with the final competition of the fall: the Head of the Lake Regatta in Seattle.
