Washington Rowing Class Day
Cruise with Croissants
- DATE: TBD
- TIME: Boarding is at 8 a.m. Boat leaves promptly at 8:15 a.m
- LOCATION: We will be loading and unloading near the Montlake Cut at the Waterfront Activities Center
- COST: $75 per person. The vessel can accommodate up to 200 passengers and space will go fast
- FOOD: On board we will have breakfast croissants, fresh fruit and of course espresso drinks galore
Alumni, family and friends of Washington Rowing are invited to get a close-up view of the races aboard the Argosy “Goodtime II” boat on our annual “Cruise with Croissants”.
The Class Day Regatta kicks off spring season for the Huskies, a tradition that began at UW in 1901 and was started by legendary Washington coach Hiram Conibear. Like so much in Washington Rowing lore, Class Day is steeped in history, and Husky Pride is on the line for each class.
We will begin the cruise with a tour around Laurelhurst, Sand Point and across to the east side of Lake Washington. We will return for an up close and personal view of the races at which time head coaches Michael Callahan and Yaz Farooq will join us on board to provide their color commentary. At the completion of the races, we will disembark at the point of origin. We encourages fans to make the short walk back to Conibear Shellhouse for the post-race barbeque and awards ceremony.
Important Notes Regarding Tickets
Tickets are all “will call.” No physical tickets will be issued; names of registered guests will be on the guest list at registration.

Map and Parking
Park in Lot E12 – this is the large lot south of Husky Stadium near the climbing rock. Look for the parking lot entrance nearest the Montlake Bridge.
Cost is $10 per vehicle, paid in advance when you purchase your cruise tickets.
