The Washington women have returned to the top of the collegiate rowing world as the top-ranked Huskies swept all three grand finals to win the NCAA Championship Sunday. The Huskies won what will surely be a legendary varsity eight grand final before earning victories in the second eights and the fours.
Washington’s men’s rowing team won the James Ten Eyck overall points championship for the 12th time in the last 13 years, but for the third year in a row, Yale took home the Intercollegiate Rowing Association national championship with a win in the varsity eight grand final Sunday at Lake Natoma.
For the third year in a row, the UW men’s and women’s rowing teams won Pac-12 Championships today. The men won all five races and the women came back from a third-place finish in the varsity eight race to earn the team title, thanks to their winning performances in the second and third varsity eight and the varsity four races.
