UW’s 2026 Schedule Full Of Challenges For Women Of Washington

The Washington women’s rowing team will tackle a schedule packed with fierce competition next spring, as the Huskies will compete in several of the nation’s biggest and most prestigious regattas in 2026. Today, the Huskies revealed their competition schedule for the spring of 2026. Washington, which swept the Big Ten Championships and finished fourth at NCAAs last year, will take on a schedule that will include many of the nation’s top programs.

NATIONAL CHAMPIONS: UW Wins IRA Title For 21st Time

The UW men won their 21st National Championship with a win in the varsity eight grand final at the IRAs. The Huskies also won the second varsity eight title for the 33rd time, the Ten Eyck Trophy (overall points) for the 19th time, and finished a very close second in the third varsity eight final.

UW Finishes 4th At NCAAs; II Eights & Fours Take Silver

Not far away, also in New Jersey, the UW won finished fourth overall at NCAA Championships. The Huskies won silver medals in both the second eights and the fours, and finished fifth in the varsity eight final. It was the 10th straight, top-five national finish for UW, which has never placed outside of the top-10 in the 28-year history of the NCAA regatta.
