The Washington men’s rowing team took home the James Ten Eyck Trophy as the overall points winner for the 11th time in the last 12 years, but for the second year in a row, it was Yale that won the national title as winner of the Intercollegiate Rowing Association varsity eight grand final Sunday at Mercer Lake.

Washington and California, the top two women’s rowing teams in the Pac-12 and in the nation, battled down to the wire at the 2018 NCAA Rowing Championships, finishing first and second in all three grand finals, but the Golden Bears won two out of those three to earn the national title.
