The Washington women’s rowing team faces an extraordinarily busy weekend as seven Husky crews will each race three times over two days at the B1G Invitational, Saturday and Sunday at Lake Natoma. This year’s Invitational features 19 programs competing in four eights and three fours.
The No. 1–ranked Washington men’s rowing team won all three of its races in a dual regatta vs. No. 21 Oregon State Saturday at Vancouver Lake. The Huskies took the top-three spots in the eights race and also won both fours races.
The No. 5-ranked Washington women’s rowing team retained the Simpson Cup with a win over No. 10 California in the 49th edition of The Dual Saturday. The Huskies won six of seven races vs. the Bears, including the varsity eight, the race in which the Simpson Cup is decided.
The No. 1-ranked Washington men’s rowing team will travel to Vancouver (Wash.) Lake this Saturday to take on No. 21 Oregon State in a dual regatta. The dual will feature just three races – one in eights, and two in fours – with multiple crews from both UW and Oregon State in each race.
The Washington and California women’s rowing teams will clash in The Dual for the 49th time this Saturday, as the Huskies travel south to Redwood Shores. This year, The Dual for the men’s and women’s programs will be held on separate dates, as has happened on occasion due to scheduling conflicts. The 115th men’s Dual will be held April 25, also at Redwood Shores.
Six of seven of the No. 4-ranked Washington women’s crews competing at the San Diego Crew Classic reached the podium Sunday, the final day of racing on Mission Bay. The Huskies’ second varsity four won its grand final, while three other crews finished second, and another two earned bronze.
The No. 1-ranked Washington men’s rowing team earned a dramatic, come-from-behind victory in the varsity eight race to win its third straight Benderson Cup, Saturday at Nathan Benderson Park. Washington topped a field of six top-10 programs to win the Cup, tying with No. 2 Harvard on points, but winning the tiebreaker based on the varsity eight finish.
The No. 4-ranked Washington women’s rowing team saw all seven of its crews earn spots in grand finals, on day one of the San Diego Crew Classic, Saturday morning on Mission Bay. Those seven will all race for trophies on Sunday.
The No. 1-ranked Washington men’s rowing team opened the 2026 season by earning the Bolles Cup and the Paup Cup with wins over No. 2 Harvard and No. 8 Stanford, on day one of the Sarasota 2K at Nathan Benderson Park.
The Washington women’s rowing team heads south to the San Diego Crew Classic this Saturday and Sunday, March 28-29. Washington, ranked No. 5 in the most recent Pocock CRCA poll, will send a total of seven crews to race on Mission Bay.
