The Washington men’s and women’s rowing teams return to action this Saturday, April 20, as the Huskies travel to the Bay Area for the annual UW-Cal Dual Regatta, the west’s oldest and most prestigious rowing rivalry.
The Washington men’s rowing team swept all three races Saturday morning in the annual dual regatta vs. Oregon State. The Huskies won the first, second and third varsity eight races on Montlake Cut.
The Washington men’s rowing team will host Oregon State for the longtime Pacific Northwest rivals’ annual dual regatta this Saturday, April 13, on Montlake Cut in Seattle. The Huskies and Beavers will square off in three races: first, second and third varsity eights.
The No. 3-ranked Washington women’s rowing team made the podium in all five women’s collegiate events Sunday, on the final day of the annual San Diego Crew Classic.
The Washington men’s rowing team won both of its races Saturday morning at the annual Husky Open, held on Montlake Cut. The two men’s college races in which the UW crews competed were the first two events of a long slate of juniors and masters races.
The No. 3-ranked Washington women’s rowing team earned a place in the final of all five of its events, based on results of heats and preliminary races at the annual San Diego Crew Classic. Washington’s five crews – the first, second and third varsity eights; varsity four; and novice eight – will all compete for trophies on Sunday on Mission Bay.
The Washington men’s rowing team will host the annual Husky Open this Saturday, April 6, on Montlake Cut. The Husky Open, which gets underway at 8:15 a.m., features a total of 33 races for collegiate crews, juniors and masters.
The Washington women’s rowing team heads south to the San Diego Crew Classic this Saturday and Sunday, April 6-7. Washington, ranked No. 2 in the most recent Pocock CRCA poll, will send its “Pac-12 lineup” of crews, meaning the same five boat categories that will compete at Pac-12 Championships later this season.
The No. 3-ranked Washington men’s rowing team earned the Benderson Cup with wins in three of four races Saturday morning at the IRA Sarasota Invitational. The Huskies won the second, third and fourth varsity eights races, but were edged out of first by Harvard in the varsity eight race.
The No. 3-ranked Washington men’s rowing team won both of its races Friday at the IRA Sarasota Invitational, beating crews from No. 5 Harvard and No. 8 Stanford on the first day of the two-day regatta at Nathan Benderson Park.
