Washington’s women’s rowing team won all of its races Saturday morning at the Husky Open, the first intercollegiate event of the spring. UW crews participated in just five of the 28 events in the regatta on Montlake Cut.
The Washington women’s rowing team will host the annual Husky Open regatta this Saturday, March 25, on Montlake Cut. The regatta features a total of 28 race categories for college, junior and masters men and women, and races will run from 8:00 a.m. until after noon.
For the first time since 2004, both the Washington men’s and women’s rowing senior classes won the feature races at Class Day, taking home the George M. Varnell and Seattle Times Trophies, respectively, Saturday morning on sun-drenched Montlake Cut.
